To: Dealer Principals Date: December 29, 1997 Subject: Pulse Charging Clark MHC is dedicated to being the world's leader in forklift and material handling technology. Accordingly, over the next year or two, you will be introduced to some amazing new technologies. The TMG is a good example: Separately Exciting Drive Motors and Controllers. AC Drive Systems, DC to DC Converters (for 12 Volt Accessories), Rapid Charging.... (these and more) are all on the horizon. One of the better pieces of equipment that I have had experience with is the Solartech Can-Pulse Charge Partner. In a nut shell, it removes (and keeps off) Sulfate Crystals from forming on the lead plates in the batteries. Sulfation is the number one cause of battery failure. Surveys show that 84% of lead acid batteries are scrapped because of sulfation. The Solartech Can-Pulse Charge Partner effectively removes Sulfation Crystals within two to three charges. It keeps sulfation Crystals from ever forming on a new battery, causing it to maintain significantly better structural integrity. My research shows that the bigger the battery, the better. This means a more robust battery, less subject to damage from abuse. The net effect is a battery that charges in 20% to 40% less time, has less of a cool down period, runs 20% to 40% longer, (usually) needs less watering and will stay operational significantly longer. For some forklift operators, the next electric forklift they order may be their first. I have found that this little unit can make the experience a pleasant one. (And it is little, only 1.5" x 2.5" x 5.75". Many users will put them in the charger, thus benefiting all batteries that are charged by that charger.) For long cycle and heavy use operators, it means a happier customer. This would translate to higher volume sales and more satisfied customers. Hence, I highly recommend that you consider selling this unit for all your 12, 24, 36 and 48 volt applications. There are a lot of "Snake Oil" Vendors out there selling all types of placebos, but this is not one of them. I have tested it under many circumstances with "as advertised" success in all instances, and it is not an expensive unit.
